Sandi's Sewing and Design is owned by Sandra St.George a dedicated seamstress who has been sewing for 35 years. Like most little girls she wanted to dress her dolls in the finest of fashions and started creating these garments with scraps of fabric and mom's old sewing machine. Sandi had her first sewing lesson in junior high school and fell in love. She went on to college and studied Interior Design and then met her husband Mike. Being a military family and on a tight budget, Sandi started sewing her daughter's clothing for fun. Each outfit came complete with all the matching accessories. Friends and family saw what Sandi was capable of doing and starting asking for favors. It started with hems and progressed to Prom Dresses,curtains, seat cushions, dolls and other gifts. Sandi also began teaching crafts 20 years ago in a retail store. This love continued with an afterschool program and she opened a small sewing school in her home. With the expansion of the family she was unable to hold the classes in the home but continues to teaching sewing in other's homes. Sandi still loves to sew for doll's and continues with Barbie fashion's and "American Girl" size doll clothes and accessories.
